Job Description of Senior Mechanics:

Reporting: To Service Engineer.

• Conduct repair/ maintenance work assigned to him by Floor/ Service Engineer.
• Conduct any major and minor repair work pertinently to vehicle independently.
• Work in a team and complete repair work assigned with greater care and precision avoiding repetition of similar complains again.
• Work in given time frame and assure the quality of work done.
• Report the completion of work to the Engineer.
• Always use genuine spare parts in repair work.
• Avoid direct contact with vehicle owner or vehicle operator. But should be confident in self in performing the repair work and should give this massage to owner or driver.
• Train subordinate in excelling the repair work during the repair work.
• Be disciplined and maintain discipline in the team while operating in workshop.
• Take initiative in hygiene of the workshop and instruct subordinates to maintain cleanliness at work place.
• Should be aware of personal safety measures and work accordingly to avoid accident and injury at work place.
• Report Service engineer any complications during the repair work; and any in-disciplinary activities at the work place.

Job Specification:

• Preferably a Diploma Holder in Automobile Engineering/ of CTEVT Trained Automobile Mechanic; or should have three years of experience in workshop doing similar repair works both minor and major repairs independently.
• Should be capable to lead the repair and team of mechanics independently.
• Capable to work in a team with positive attitude to resolve problems of repair and maintenance work of vehicles.
• Know about the products in detail.
• Should be knowledgeable in automobile systems and principles.
• Good learner and hard working.
• Knowledgeable in personal safety and Hygiene at work place for automobile industry/ service center.
