Ensure that all guests are served to the AMA standard in the Restaurant / Bar / Loungeareas. Display highest standards of hospitality within all food and beverage areas.Takes orders and serve (where applicable, prepares) food and beverages to guests as per the AMA standards in a friendly, timely and efficient manner.
1. Set up
Ensure tables and stations in café areas, garden & pool dining area are clean and tidy. Set up with cushions, umbrella’s etc as required.
Supply and replenish cutleries, plate and glassware at the required stations for service
Fill condiment and sauce receptacles as required
Ensure the displays with snacks are replenished and kept fully stocked.
Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of café areas
2. Service
Relay food orders to the kitchen and beverage orders to the bar
Deliver food & beverages to the tables/poolside/garden as per customer’s order
Remove soiled dishes from tables and deliver them to the dish room promptly
Identify and acknowledge regular guests; know their choice and specific taste of food & beverages
Advice guests on the choice of food & drinks including smoothies, cold drinks, cocktails, wine, special brands etc.
Provide necessary information to patrons about specific food & beverages
Report to the Front of the House Supervisor any complaints, disputes, queries, comments from guests
Provide Inventory Supervisor with inventory and par stocks
Support the Bar and prepare basic drinks as per order when required
Help in monitoring beverage consumption to ensure guests do not become too intoxicated
Able to input customers orders in the POS and able to generate the final bill from the POS system and offer to guest settlement
Understand and carry out orders given by the Manager or Supervisor
3. Customer Service
Represent Phora Durbar in a positive, professional and courteous manner to customers and staff
Ensure the provision of service standards that develop and encourage repeat business
Uphold the excellent grooming and presentation standards of Phora Durbar
4. Service Support
Ensure efficient use and management of time
Contribute new ideas
Report any damaged or equipment breakdowns
Assist in creating and maintaining a safe working environment
Support the implementation of new policies and procedures issued by Management from time to time
Exhibit a positive and involved team attitude to all and promote positive relations through an environment that encourages open communication, trust and mutual respect
Update yourself and follow security/fire/safety procedures according to Company’s rules and regulations
Attend divisional/departmental meeting and training when requested
Assist with other duties as determined by immediate superiors from time to time
QUALIFICATIONS
Skills and Experience
Proven restaurant serving or waitering experience
Hands-on experience in cashier duties
Attention to cleanliness and safety
Patience and customer-oriented approach
Excellent people skills with a friendly attitude
Responsible and trustworthy
Higher School Passed
Fluency in spoken and written English
