Understand and adhere to food hygiene and health and safety requirements. Maintain personal hygiene while preparing and handling food. Prepare and check the quality/freshness of ingredients by following recipes; slicing, cutting, chopping, mincing, stirring, whipping, and mixing ingredients; adding seasonings; verifying taste. Completes hot meal preparation by grilling, sauteing, roasting, frying, and broiling ingredients and assembling and refrigerating cold ingredients. Present, garnish and arrange final dishes. Maintain safety, cleanliness and sanitation of equipment, food storage, and work areas. Set up workstations with required ingredients and equipment. Maintain appropriate dating, labeling, and rotation of all food items. Stores leftovers according to established standards.
