Waiter – Job Description

Position: Waiter Industry: 2-Star Hotel Duty Time: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM Location: Nepal

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Welcome and greet hotel guests and customers in a polite and professional manner.

  • Take food and beverage orders accurately and communicate them to the kitchen/bar team.

  • Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining proper hotel service standards.

  • Assist guests with menu selections and provide information about food and beverages.

  • Ensure tables are properly arranged, clean, and ready for service.

  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the restaurant, dining area, and service stations.

  • Check regularly with guests to ensure satisfaction and respond to their requests professionally.

  • Handle customer complaints and concerns politely and report major issues to the supervisor or management.

  • Coordinate effectively with kitchen, bar, cashier, and other hotel staff.

  • Clear and reset tables efficiently after each service.

  • Assist with restaurant opening, closing, and daily preparation duties.

  • Follow hotel policies, food safety standards, hygiene procedures, and grooming requirements.

  • Maintain a professional appearance and courteous attitude throughout the duty period.

  • Regular duty hours are from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM; candidates must be punctual and comfortable working during these hours.

  • Candidates must be flexible with working hours and willing to adjust their schedule when required for hotel operations, events, or busy periods.

  • Perform other duties assigned by the Supervisor, Restaurant Manager, or Hotel Management.
