Job Description

Key Responsibilities :

Product Knowledge: Develop in-depth knowledge of Octillion Resources' product range, including sanitary items, tiles, pipes, wooden flooring, laminate flooring, etc. Suggest suitable products to customers, obtain rates from vendors, and ensure timely supply of goods to customers.

Customer Engagement: Greet customers visiting the showroom and make them feel comfortable by offering refreshments (tea/coffee). Build a personal connection through meaningful conversations to ensure a positive experience.

Showroom Management: Ensure the showroom is well-maintained and address any operational issues promptly. Manage the upkeep and proper display of all showroom items, ensuring their optimal condition.

Quotation Management: Prepare quotations tailored to clients that come as walk-in and client leads by marketing officer. SE must also maintain accurate records of all transactions, and communicate necessary details to management on a regular basis. All the quotations and rate discussed must be informed to management quickly and promptly.

Customer Follow-Up:

i. Make follow-up calls to customers who have visited the showroom and the prospective clients brought upon by Marketing officer via phone call and email strictly.

ii. Follow up is required post-dispatch to gather feedback and to detect potential issues that the client is facing. In such circumstances, sales executive must co-ordinate with service center and the client to resolve issues. Such problems must be reported to management quickly.

iii. Conduct regular follow-up calls to clients to ensure timely payments and address any concerns related to dues. Sales Executive must be well informed about clients who have over dues and report to management.

Daily Reporting:

Maintain and update a daily checklist file, where sales executive is required to write down all the tasks and the completion date without any failure.

Basic Accounting:

Handle basic accounting tasks such as issuing VAT bills, maintaining ledger entries, and ensuring proper documentation of expenses, sales and deposits both manually and in desktop.

Logistics Management:

Oversee the dispatching of products to customers and coordinate the required logistics for timely delivery.

Vendor Relations:

Stay well-informed and maintain regular communication with vendors to ensure updated pricing, availability, and new product developments. For example, vendors of pipe, tile, sanitary fittings, laminate flooring & so on.

Reports to Management:

Prepare and submit detailed monthly and yearly sales and expense reports. However, for walk in customers and market updates, weekly report is required.

Problem Area Site Visits:

The Sales Executive will be responsible for visiting sites where issues are critical, resolving the problem, calming the customer, and providing appropriate solutions. The candidate is expected to proactively identify such problem areas. Any sort of travel required, fuel expenses will be covered by the company.

Qualifications Required:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (preferred but not always mandatory).

1–3 years of experience in sales of Sanitaryware & Tiles.

Additional Skills and Requirements:

Basic Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint or similar tools for creating reports and presentations.

Negotiation Skills: Confident and effective in negotiating with clients and vendors.

Product Knowledge: Experience in the sanitary, tiles, or related fields is preferred.

Salary will depend on your experience in these areas.

Willingness to Travel:

Must have a valid driver’s license and be open to traveling for important client meetings. Travel expenses will be covered by the company.

Probation Period:

The candidate must successfully complete a 3-month probation period, after which further discussions regarding continued employment and potential benefits will be finalized.

Salary Scale:

NPR 25,000 to 30,000 per month (based on experience in relevant field).  A 5% annual increment will be provided to employees. This policy is fixed and non-negotiable.

Working Hours:

11:00 AM to 7:00 PM (Sunday to Friday).

This schedule is fixed throughout the year, regardless of summer or winter.

Additional hours may be required based on company needs, including Saturdays. Any extra hours worked will be adjusted with other leave days taken by the candidate.

Special Requirements:

Must own a scooter or bike with a valid driving license.

Leave Policy:

Paid Leave: 12 days per year with prior approval and a valid, justifiable reason.

The company reserves the right to approve or deny leave requests.

Candidates must submit leave application to management prior to leave under any circumstances.
