Job Description

A casino Maintenance Assistant supports the upkeep of the entire casino property, including the building, facilities, and grounds. They handle a variety of tasks, including general repairs, preventative maintenance, and ensuring a safe environment for both guests and staff. This role often involves both hands-on work and communication with other departments and potentially external contractors.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. General Maintenance: Performing routine repairs and maintenance tasks such as fixing plumbing, electrical issues, carpentry, painting, and other basic building upkeep.

  2. Preventative Maintenance: Conducting regular inspections and maintenance to prevent issues from arising, including checking fire alarms, fire extinguishers, and other safety equipment.

  3. Equipment Maintenance: Ensuring all equipment, including tools and machinery, are in good working order.

  4. Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of maintenance work, repairs, and safety inspections.

  5. Communication: Communicating effectively with team members, supervisors, and potentially external contractors regarding maintenance needs and issues.

  6. Mechanical and/or Carpentry Skills: Some roles may require specific skills in plumbing, electrical work, or carpentry.

  7. Strong Work Ethic: Reliability, punctuality, and a positive attitude are important qualities.

  8. Communication Skills: Effective communication is needed for interacting with team members, supervisors, and potentially guests.

  9. Flexibility: The ability to work varied shifts and adapt to changing priorities is often desired.

  10. Perform any other duties assigned by the Operation Head/ Immediate Supervisor

    Note:
