Job Description

Responsibilities:

* Prepare Authentic Dishes: Cook and present a variety of Nepali and Indian dishes, ensuring they meet quality standards and are authentic to each cuisine.

* Ingredient Preparation and Cooking Techniques: Follow recipes and utilize appropriate cooking techniques for different dishes, including curries, tandoori, stir-fry, and steamed dishes, to achieve authentic flavors.

* Quality Control: Ensure that food is cooked to the appropriate temperatures, flavors are balanced, and dishes are presented in an appealing manner.

* Ingredient Management: Order and manage ingredients, spices, and other kitchen supplies specific to Nepali and Indian cuisines, maintaining freshness and quality.

* Maintain Cleanliness and Safety: Follow food safety and hygiene standards, keeping the kitchen area clean and organized at all times.

* Team Collaboration: Work closely with other kitchen staff to coordinate service and ensure timely delivery of dishes, especially during peak hours.


Qualifications:

* Proven experience as a cook specializing in Nepali and Indian cuisine, with 2+ years of experience preferred

* Strong knowledge of traditional Nepali and Indian ingredients, spices, and cooking methods

* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment

* Familiarity with food safety regulations and proper hygiene practices

* Excellent organizational and time-management skills

* Ability to follow recipes accurately and maintain consistency in taste and presentation

* Team player with good communication skills

* Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and handle busy shift

Note: Good proven experience in Indian and Nepali cuisine is preferred
