Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Welcome and prepare patients for dental examinations and treatments.

• Review and update patients' medical and dental histories.

• Perform oral health assessments and report findings to the dentist.

• Conduct professional teeth cleaning, including scaling and polishing, as permitted by applicable regulations.

• Remove plaque, tartar (calculus), and surface stains from teeth.

• Apply preventive treatments such as fluoride and dental sealants where authorized.

• Educate patients on proper brushing, flossing, and oral hygiene practices.

• Provide guidance on preventing tooth decay, gum disease, and other oral health problems.

• Assist the dentist during examinations and dental procedures when required.

• Prepare, sterilize, and maintain dental instruments and equipment.

• Ensure strict compliance with infection prevention and sterilization protocols.

• Take and process dental X-rays as authorized and in accordance with applicable regulations.

• Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation.

• Monitor inventory of dental supplies and report shortages when necessary.

• Keep treatment rooms clean, organized, and fully prepared for patient care.

• Handle patients professionally, ensuring comfort, privacy, and confidentiality.

• Respond appropriately to medical or dental emergencies within the scope of practice.

• Follow all clinic policies, professional ethics, and health and safety regulations.

• Collaborate effectively with dentists, dental assistants, and other healthcare professionals.

• Perform any other duties assigned by the clinic management or supervising dentist.
