Job Description

We are looking for a skilled, passionate, and reliable Cook to join our Kitchen team. The selected candidate will be responsible for food preparation, cooking, presentation, quality control, and maintaining high standards of hygiene and food safety.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Food Preparation & Cooking

  1. Prepare and cook food according to established recipes, menus, and quality standards.

  2. Ensure food is prepared and presented consistently to the required standards.

  3. Follow daily food preparation requirements and instructions from the Kitchen Supervisor/Head Chef.

  4. Monitor the quality of raw and cooked food products.

  5. Assist in estimating daily food production requirements and minimizing food wastage.

  6. Accommodate guest dietary requirements and food allergies as instructed.

  7. Maintain awareness of menu items, recipes, preparation methods, and presentation standards.

  8. Ensure timely preparation of food during busy service periods.

  9. Assist and support other kitchen team members as required.

Hygiene, Safety & Cleanliness

  1. Follow all food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and kitchen safety procedures.

  2. Check expiry dates and ensure proper storage of food items.

  3. Maintain cleanliness of workstations, kitchen equipment, and utensils.

  4. Operate kitchen equipment safely and report any malfunction or damage promptly.

  5. Maintain high standards of personal hygiene and cleanliness.

Teamwork & Operations

  1. Work closely with the Kitchen Supervisor, Head Chef, and other kitchen team members.

  2. Maintain effective communication and a positive working environment.

  3. Assist in guiding and supporting junior kitchen staff when required.

  4. Provide feedback on operational issues and food quality concerns.

  5. Assist with stock, preparation, and inventory-related tasks as required.

  6. Perform other duties assigned by the management.

Willingness to work flexible hours and rotating shifts.
