Job Description
  1. Plan and deliver sessions covering child development theory, safety and care practices, learning facilitation and professional workplace skills

  2. Facilitate practical activities where students practise observation, activity planning and working with children in a simulated setting

  3. Assess students on both knowledge and practical competency and they must be able to apply what they learn, not just recall it

  4. Track individual student progress and provide additional support where needed

  5. Prepare students for internship and employment, professional conduct, child safety obligations, family communication and what regulated childcare environments in Australia and the UK actually look like day to day

  6. Bring real-world context into the classroom, drawing on your own overseas experience to show students what they are being trained for

  7. A qualification in early childhood education, childcare or child development, preferably from Australia, the UK or another country where childcare is a regulated profession. Equivalent qualifications from other recognised markets are welcome.

  8. The ability and confidence to teach (you do not need a formal teaching certificate, but you must be comfortable leading a group, explaining concepts clearly, running practical sessions and assessing student progress)

  9. Good English communication skills

  10. 1–2 years of experience working directly with young children in a childcare, preschool or early learning setting, ideally in Australia, the UK or another regulated market

Send your CV, copies of your qualifications, and a cover letter. In the cover letter, tell us about yourself, your background in childcare or early childhood education, any teaching or training experience you may have, and what draws you to this role. If you have worked or studied in Australia, the UK or another internationally regulated childcare environment, make sure to describe that experience.
