Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • 1. Supervise day-to-day canteen operations ensuring cleanliness, hygiene, and compliance with health and safety standards.

  • 2. Manage stock, place orders with suppliers, and maintain inventory records.

  • 3. Handle cash, maintain records of daily sales, and prepare financial reports.

  • 4. Train, guide, and supervise canteen staff.

  • 5. Ensure excellent customer service to students, teachers, and staff.

  • 6. Maintain a positive and child-friendly environment within the canteen.

  • 7. Plan and prepare balanced menus in consultation with school management.


Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • 1. Proven experience in managing a canteen, cafeteria, or food service operation (preferably in an educational setting).

  • 2. Basic knowledge of nutrition, food safety, and hygiene practices.

  • 3. Strong organizational and time-management skills.

  • 4. Ability to handle budgeting and inventory control.

  • 5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • 6. High school diploma or equivalent (hospitality-related qualifications preferred).
